In my line of work, I get to meet a lot of awesome people who totally rock at what they do. Entrepreneurs, doctors, realtors, start ups, make up influencers, visual artists, and now, a YouTube creator!

If you like dissecting trends, obscure films, celebrities, or anything pop culture, then you probably know Nick Diramio. If you’re not a fan now, then you’ll instantly be one when you head over to his YouTube channel. Nick hosts the Clip Breakdown, a show in which he dives into and serves wildly entertaining commentary on movies, TV shows, products, influencers (drama!), and other trending YouTube videos.

Watching Nick talk about these things on YouTube is like sitting down with a friend for a chat on what’s what. Wine optional. His trademark perkiness coupled with his ability to tell things as it is will make you feel immediately invested.

The great thing about meeting Nick is experiencing his vibrant cheerfulness in person. He was just so much fun to work with! We connected right away and felt like old friends. There wasn’t a dull moment during the entire time he was in my studio. Here’s a video of that fun afternoon:

He was of course, already comfortable about being in front of the camera. He was confident. But here’s the thing that I absolutely love about him: his confidence didn’t get in the way of him being teachable.

Nick knew how to do his thing and be himself but he was open to being coached. This made my job as a personal branding photographer easier. He trusted that I understood his vision and this resulted to beautiful photos that captured just how fantastic he was. Even when he is already a successful YouTuber and an expert at his craft, he sought my advice because he knew that I was an expert in my own field. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the session:

Tips for a successful personal branding shoot

Consult with your photographer first - Sit down and talk with your photographer before the actual shoot. Take the time to get to know each other and give your photographer time to understand your vision. Meeting before the session helps increase your comfort levels for the day itself.

Be teachable - We love a confident queen or king. They’re the best to work with! But also learn to trust your photographer and be teachable. Remember that you’re hiring a pro to help you achieve something that might be harder for you to achieve just on your own and there’s no shame in that.

Bring clothes for a outfit change - Photographers truly don’t mind if you feel like you have to change your outfit a few times during a session. In fact, bringing a few (or a lot!) of clothing options with you is preferable. That way, when one clothing ensemble doesn’t work, there will be others to choose from.

Do you need personal brand photos to match your already established brand on Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube? Or maybe you need a branding overhaul and give your socials a much-needed refresh? Head over to Bravo Image Branding and send us a DM. You can answer this super short questionnaire and we’ll contact you!

Another thing that made our personal branding shoot a success was that Nick brought a lot of clothing options, including his really fun merch! The variety of the clothing he brought with him allowed me to photograph the different aspects of Nick’s brand with clarity.

Thank you Nick for choosing to work with us!

Do you want your next personal branding shoot to be just like Nick’s? Here are a few things to keep in mind to make sure your next session will be fun and successful:
